River’s Bend is seeking a full-time Support Staff member to join our growing practice in Troy, MI. You will assist with front-desk duties, appointments, referrals, insurance verification, and administrative support for clinicians.

The role emphasizes strong organizational and customer service skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
  • Comfort with technology and EMR/Microsoft Office proficiency required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and visitors professionally.
  • Answer calls and voicemails; direct inquiries as needed.
  • Complete intake for new referrals; schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Verify insurance details and manage pre-authorizations.
  • Handle documentation and administrative tasks for clinical staff.

Join Our Team at River’s Bend – Support Staff (Full-Time)

River’s Bend is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, motivated, and organized Support Staff professional to join our growing team! If you enjoy helping others, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.

As a member of our Support Staff Department, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to‑day administrative and operational success of the practice while working closely with our Practice Manager, Support Staff Lead, and clinical team.

What You’ll Do

  • Greet clients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer incoming phone calls and voicemails, handling inquiries or directing them appropriately
  • Complete intake processes for new referrals
  • Schedule, manage, and confirm client appointments (including reminder calls)
  • Provide insurance verification for clients
  • Process drug screens and manage medication refills
  • Handle incoming and outgoing documentation
  • Verify insurance benefits and manage pre-authorizations
  • Provide exceptional client support, addressing questions, concerns, and feedback
  • Offer administrative support to clinical staff
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Identify challenges and help implement solutions
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the practice

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous administrative experience preferred

Schedule & Compensation

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 8:30 PM (hours may vary by week)
  • Shifts: 8-hour shifts
  • Weekend On-Call: Every 4–6 weeks
  • Pay: $18–$20/hour
  • Hourly, non-exempt
  • Paid bi-weekly
