Job description

Description
Be the Operational Backbone of Crisis Care

Riverbend Community Mental Health—a trusted leader in New Hampshire’s behavioral health community—is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) team and provide the essential operational support that keeps critical crisis services running smoothly.

This is more than a traditional administrative position—it’s an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where every detail matters. As a key member of the PES team, you will help create the structure, coordination, and accuracy needed to support individuals experiencing behavioral health emergencies and ensure they receive timely, compassionate, and effective care.

You will play a vital role in keeping a high-acuity crisis program organized and responsive by supporting daily operations, maintaining critical documentation, improving workflows, and ensuring compliance with clinical, regulatory, and reporting requirements. Your work will directly contribute to the team’s ability to respond quickly, coordinate care effectively, and provide exceptional support to individuals during some of their most vulnerable moments.

Collaborating closely with clinicians, program leadership, compliance, billing, and technology teams, you will serve as a trusted operational partner—helping identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring data accuracy, and strengthening the systems that allow our clinical teams to focus on what matters most: delivering high-quality behavioral health care.

If you are someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys bringing organization to complex processes, and takes pride in being the reliable person behind the scenes who helps a team succeed, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference.

At Riverbend, you won’t just provide administrative support—you’ll help make compassionate crisis care possible.

At Riverbend, you’ll be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team that is deeply committed to both client care and employee growth. We foster a supportive and inclusive environment where your voice matters, your contributions are recognized, and your career can thrive.
