Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Lobby Reception in Kearney, NE to greet visitors, manage access, badge visitors, monitor alarms, and deliver professional customer service at a front desk in a tech/telecom setting.

This full‑time role pays $16.00 per hour and requires a high school diploma, background check, and other standard security qualifications. It offers opportunities for growth through our Smart Tools and training programs.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or vendors at a front desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying visitor credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests according to site requirements.
• Answer incoming calls, manage reception‑area communications, and provide professional assistance with routine inquiries and requests.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-­solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, access‑related events, and other security‑related observations, and report unusual conditions to Allied Universal leadership and or site contacts.
