Allied Universal® in Wayne, NJ is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide front‑desk security at a healthcare site. This role offers flexible fixed shifts with opportunities to earn more via additional shifts across sites.

The position requires strong customer service, security experience, and the ability to use computers or tablets. Benefits include healthcare, life/disability, retirement plans, and paid holidays; 18+ or 21+ depending on role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be performed.
• Drug screen will be performed.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors, patients, staff, and vendors at the front desk professionally.
• Monitor facility access by verifying IDs and directing visitors.
• Carry out site-specific security procedures and manage visitor logs and credentials.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly following emergency protocols.
• Communicate concerns and incidents to Allied Universal leadership.
