Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Receptionist Officer for an Iowa City location. The role supports a safe, secure environment by monitoring premises, handling access control, and patrolling client sites as needed. This position emphasizes customer service and professionalism.

The successful candidate will enjoy a regular Tue & Wed schedule from 5AM to 1PM, will be 18+, and possess a HS diploma or GED, with strong computer skills and a calm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• HS diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Front desk and access control duties including creating badges for visitors and answering phones.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Carry out post orders and assigned rounds.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.

Wage: $19.00/HR

Schedule: Tue & Wed: 5AM - 1PM

The Receptionist Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

The Receptionist Officer is a customer service driven position. If you have receptionist, hospitality, or a retail background, you are a great candidate for this role!!!

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Front desk / access control duties such as creating badges for visitors and answering phones.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
