Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring for a Security Officer Full Time Reception in Wichita, KS. You will welcome employees, visitors, and members and manage access control at a financial institution, delivering professional customer service and maintaining security standards.

The role includes monitoring entry points, handling inquiries, logging visitor information, and responding calmly to incidents and alarms while upholding site-specific policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to members, visitors, and employees by following site-specific procedures and supporting a professional, welcoming front desk presence.
• Monitor access to the financial institution location, verify visitor credentials as required, and maintain visitor logs and/or sign-in records.
• Answer phone calls, provide directions, and communicate routine information to appropriate personnel while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive member and business information.
• Observe lobby and entry activity, report suspicious or unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
