Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Front Desk Security Professional in San Diego, CA. You will greet visitors, manage access credentials, monitor entry points, and respond to security concerns with professionalism. The role requires a DoD Secret clearance and a strong commitment to customer service in a defense-facing environment.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $23.25 per hour. Schedule includes weekend shifts and daytime hours, with a focus on safety, compliance, and incident response.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Experience using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per law.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state or local law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk within an aerospace and defense location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Verify visitor identity, review access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain records per site requirements.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and communications systems from the front desk, escalate unusual activity according to procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document events as required.
• Deter unauthorized access by maintaining a professional presence and assisting authorized individuals.
