Summary

The administrative assistant is an integral part of the outpatient clinic team, serving as the primary point of contact for patient scheduling, services, and operational management of the clinic.

Description

The administrative assistant plays a key role in supporting the outpatient clinic by managing patient interactions, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with operational requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Functions as the initial point of contact for patients both on the phone and in person.
  • Triages calls, schedules appointments, and provides information about the program’s services.
  • Coordinates patient payment methods with the benefits department and providers.
  • Assists staff in managing compliance with regulatory operational requirements.
  • Coordinates weekly billing requirements with staff and billing department for claims generation.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Experience in customer service/receptionist roles in an office setting.
  • Experience working with Chemical Dependency patients and/or in a healthcare outpatient clinic preferred.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • College coursework in business administration or related field preferred.

Work Environment

  • Indoor office setting using standard equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands
