Job summary

Phoenix House of New York, Long Island, is seeking a Front Desk Representative to support administrative operations in a busy office. You will answer calls, greet visitors, manage filing, and coordinate meetings, travel, and agendas.

This non-exempt, full-time position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate has at least two years of administrative experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least two years of administrative/clerical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.
  • Welcomes and directs visitors and clients.
  • Maintains filing systems as assigned.
  • Retrieves information from records and minutes; prepares summaries.
  • Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments.
  • Prepares meeting agendas and distributes minutes.
  • Maintains office supplies and coordinates equipment maintenance.
  • Maintains a system for recording expenses and petty cash.
