Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco at Embarcadero is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our luxury team. You will welcome guests, handle check-ins/check-outs, and upsell rooms to maximize revenue while delivering impeccable service.

Ideal candidates bring luxury hospitality experience, outstanding communication, and a warm, proactive attitude. The role requires a flexible schedule in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Previous luxury hotel front desk experience preferred.
• Must have excellent customer service and guest contact skills.
• Ideal candidates will be outgoing and enjoy helping others.
• Candidates with a degree in hospitality, or similar, are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check in guests efficiently and personally, ensuring correct room type and rate.
• Upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Check out guests and settle bills accurately.
• Maintain a balanced shift bank and handle cash/credit transactions.
• Handle guest inquiries with hospitality and professionalism; resolve complaints.
• Other duties as needed.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

• Checks in guest in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. Assures that guest is assigned type of room requested and the correct rate is charged. Arranges for luggage to be delivered to guest room. Issues correct keys to the guest.
• Ensure revenue is maximized by upselling guest rooms based on availability
• Checks out guest at end of stay. Ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges and presents bill to guest. Settles bill accurately through credit card or cash transaction.
• Maintains a balanced bank assigned by the hotel. Makes change, cashes checks, and exchanges foreign currency. Reconciles all transactions at the close of each shift.
• Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.

• Candidates with a degree in hospitality, or similar, are preferred.
• Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport is required.
• Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required.
• You must possess the ability to work in a high volume operation.
• You must also be able to multi-task and complete tasks by established deadlines.
• You must be able to work a flexible schedule (holidays, and/or weekends)
