Job summary

Glendale Place Nursing & Rehab, a Caring Place Healthcare Group facility, is seeking a Receptionist in Cincinnati. You will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and staff, managing calls, directions, and information with a friendly, professional demeanor.

The role emphasizes greeting visitors, coordinating with departments, and maintaining clear communication logs while upholding HIPAA, safety, and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent oral and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail.
• Friendly, courteous, professional.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer and operate the telephone console, determine the nature of calls and direct callers to the appropriate person or department.
• Greet, direct, and provide directions/information to visitors, guests, residents, sales representatives, employees, etc.
• Operate the intercom and paging system, locate personnel as requested.
• Communicate emergencies, problems, or non-routine events to supervisor and/or appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a written communication log of events for each shift.
• Communicate in a positive manner with team members, residents, families, visitors and vendors.
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations.
• Maintain a calm, supportive and caring environment for residents and staff.
• Comply with all safety and sanitation procedures including universal precautions.
• Attend in-service programs, educational workshops and meetings as required by the facility and state.
