Barry’s, founded in West Hollywood in 1998, offers the Original Strength and Cardio Interval Fitness Experience, delivering high-intensity, one-hour workouts alternating between weights and treadmill exercises. Each session targets different muscle groups to achieve effective results, prevent injuries, and boost metabolism for up to 48 hours.

Please note that smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of Barry’s studios and offices.

About the role

Front Desk team members are the first point of contact at Barry’s studios. They should be knowledgeable about our fitness programs and business operations, providing excellent customer service, assisting with class bookings and questions, maintaining cleanliness, managing FuelBar orders, and handling merchandise sales. We seek passionate, reliable, team-oriented problem-solvers with outgoing interpersonal skills, a love for health, enthusiasm for our brand, and a desire to foster a stronger Barry’s community.

What you'll do
Front Desk Responsibilities:
  1. Provide exceptional client experience, applying hospitality principles and processes.
  2. Build and maintain constructive relationships with clients and staff.
  3. Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers via various channels.
  4. Maintain a clean, welcoming environment, assisting with studio cleaning and restocking as needed.
  5. Inform clients about promotions, discounts, and events.
  6. Stay knowledgeable about all retail products and operations.
  7. Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, mornings, or nights.
Fuel Bar Responsibilities:
  1. Serve quality protein smoothies and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Handle pre-orders and in-the-moment orders tailored to clients’ needs.
  3. Assist clients with product inquiries and selections.
  4. Process transactions efficiently using POS systems.
  5. Keep the Fuel Bar area clean and sanitized.
  6. Follow safety, food handling, and sanitation regulations per health codes.
  7. Rotate merchandise properly, paying attention to expiration dates.
  8. Prepare Fuel Bar items following company recipes.
Facility Maintenance:
  1. Clean and prepare studio spaces before, after, and between classes.
  2. Perform regular deep cleaning and organization of common areas.
  3. Address minor studio repairs when needed.
  4. Manage laundry services for towels.
  5. Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
  • Availability for 2-5 shifts, including at least one weekend day.

  • Patience, courtesy, and empathy in listening and responding to clients.
