Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. in The Colony, TX is seeking a motivated Customer Service Associate to join our team. You will answer incoming calls, assist customers, and support office duties as needed.

The ideal candidate will have an AA/AS or equivalent or 6 months to 1 year of related experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher. Schedule flexibility is required, with shifts between 9am and 9pm Monday–Saturday, Sundays 11am–7pm; average 40 hours per

Qualifications

• Associates degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Publisher, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional and pleasant disposition.
• Be knowledgeable and courteous while assisting customers and transferring calls to appropriate associates or areas for further assistance.
• Assist in general office duties that include mail service, sorting and opening mail to deliver to appropriate individual/department, updating phone lists and assisting other office positions as needed.
• Create daily pocket schedules, make signs for all shops, order supplies and keep stocked at all times.
• Assist in various projects for members of the Leadership team as needed.
• Demonstratemultitasking, organization, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
• Experience in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher, and Excel.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to complete basic mathematical equations.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
