Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing.
• One year of administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and receive customers, determining nature of visit.
• Perform various administrative duties.
• Welcome visitors and provide information about clinic features.
• Answer, screen, and route incoming calls.
• Collect general information from patients on their first visit.
• Verify insurance information.
• Notify clinicians of patient arrival.
• Make appointments for returning patients.
• Print appointment reminders and school/work excuses.
• Coordinate payment arrangements or account resolution.
• Receive, store, and deliver shipments and mail.
• Take payments and post to accounts.
• Update charts and patient information.
• Drive internal marketing initiatives.

Welcomes visitors to the practice and provides information about clinic features Answers, screens, and routes incoming calls and takes messages as needed Checks-in and collects general information from patients on their first visit Verifies insurance information Notifies clinicians of patient arrival and readiness Make appointments for returning patients as necessary Prints/reprints appointment reminders and school/work excuses May make changes to the patient schedule as necessary Coordinates payment arrangements or account resolution Receives, stores, and delivers shipments and mail Takes payments and posts to account Updates charts and patient information Drives internal marketing initiatives and fosters participation from everyone
