Job summary

Auburn Marriott Opelika Resort & Spa at Grand National is seeking a Front Desk Clerk to deliver a smooth arrival and departure experience with Marriott standards. You will verify room blocks, participate in pre-registration, and assign rooms based on location, rate, and guest status, while addressing guest needs professionally.

You will also handle check-ins/check-outs, issue keys, and assist with inquiries, local amenities, and directions, ensuring accurate postings and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• Warm, professional guest reception and hospitality mindset.
• Ability to assign rooms by location, rate, and status while optimizing guest experience.
• Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Accurately process charges, deposits, vouchers, and postings to guest accounts.
• Maintain front desk reports and cash handling with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere on arrival.
• Assist with pre-registration, pre-assignment of rooms, and check-ins/outs.
• Respond to inquiries about services, local attractions, and directions.
• Manage reservations, future or same-day, including walk-ins.
• Issue and manage room keys; guide guests with escort instructions.
• Post and adjust charges; handle vouchers and discounts as applicable.
• Maintain knowledge of events and in-house groups; inform guests accordingly.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality for safes and valuables at front desk.
