Job Title: Service Ambassador (Front Desk Attendant)

Location: 8775 Norwin Avenue, Unit 4, Irwin, PA 15642

Pay Rate: $16.06 to $18.89 per hour, non-exempt

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Full Time (including 2 evenings until 7 pm per week)

The Service Ambassador is the first point of contact for clients, demonstrating understanding of clinical practices, workflows, and standards related to client care and operations. Responsibilities include providing personalized service, responding to inquiries, navigating care options, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and facilitating communication between clients and staff. The role supports the mission and values of The Children’s Institute.

Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent personalized service.
  • Serve as the first contact for clients regarding care navigation.
  • Respond to inquiries, promote services, and meet client needs.
  • Schedule appointments, collect co-pays/deductibles, and ensure information is available for staff.
  • Greet clients, caregivers, guests, and vendors professionally, both in person and over the phone.
  • Operate office equipment such as telephones, computers, copiers, and fax machines.
  • Manage the telephone system, answer lines, direct calls, and distribute messages.
  • Input client demographic and insurance information into EMRs.
  • Obtain initial prescriptions for scheduled services as per guidelines.
  • Record no-shows, cancellations, and appointments promptly.
  • Assist families in navigating care systems.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • At least three years of healthcare or customer service experience required.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse certifications (training provided).
  • Clearances: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal, and Act 33 Child Abuse.
