This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk, including processing guest check-ins, member retention, and maintaining quality customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute procedures as outlined by the front desk manual.
- Answer phones, take messages, and transfer calls.
- Be knowledgeable of club amenities and surroundings.
- Communicate kindly and sincerely, using members' names.
- Attend all staff and club meetings and events.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with members and staff.
- Ensure the front desk is clean, maintained, and organized at all times.
- Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
Expectations:
- Present a professional demeanor at all times when representing Genesis Health Clubs.
- Provide input in developing strategies to support club goals and objectives.
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from members.
Job Requirements:
- Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must hold current CPR certification or obtain it within 60 days of start date.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Experience in cash handling and credit card transactions.
- Strong customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff, including reading, writing, and speaking.
