As a Front Desk Associate with Northern Michigan Escapes, you play a pivotal role in assisting investment property owners and homeowners in preserving and enhancing the value of their investments. This position involves assisting guests at both our Points North Inn and Edgewater Inn locations. We seek a mature, hardworking, and seasoned professional who prioritizes customer service and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients and assist guests during check-in and check-out processes, ensuring timely and professional service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office and lobby area, and assist with laundry duties when necessary.
  • Process reservation payments from guests accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide guests with information regarding hotel policies, amenities, and services.
  • Demonstrate punctual, friendly, and responsible customer service as a hospitality industry professional.
  • Correspond with upcoming and in-house guests through in-person interaction, email, and phone communication.
  • Create, modify, and cancel reservations using the computerized reservation system.
  • Consistently document and communicate relevant information to Managers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Experience:

  • 1 year of front desk experience.
  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with iPhone and MacBook devices is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Sheets.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be in good physical condition with overall strength and flexibility to perform various tasks, including walking, bending, standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds independently or with assistance, reaching, hearing, and seeing.
  • Functional hand and finger dexterity is required.
  • Candidates must be free of physical limitations; reasonable accommodations may be provided in accordance with applicable laws.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and weekdays.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective time management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills with teammates, guests, and associates.

SCHEDULE:

As a full-time position, this position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, including weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings, with variations based on occupancy and season. As a part-time position requires a commitment of working weekdays and weekends, with variations based on occupancy and season. This position is based at our Charlevoix, MI., location and requires in-person attendance. Remote work arrangements are not available for this role.
