Position Overview

The Front Desk is the heart of the gym. Running a friendly, efficient, well-structured front desk operation can be the difference between the success and the failure of a business. Front Desk Associates should exhibit professionalism always and be aware of what is going on in the facility and to ensure that all members are greeted, and the facility is presentable inside and out. Employees may be subject to heavy lifting requirements. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to create lifelong fans of fitness.
• Maintain info on club history, background, philosophy, facilities, staff, and policies.
• Has a thorough knowledge of, adheres to, and enforces company policies, and procedures, as they pertain to gym operations.
• Contributes to the gym and the employee’s overall success.
• Maintain a working relationship with all departments and their department heads and have a general understanding of how all departments operate.
• Answer the phone with a smile; the phone should never ring more than twice.
• Direct guests and members to the right people for issues/questions/suggestions.
• Complete a daily checklist and any necessary cleaning during every shift.
• Maintain paperwork at the Front Desk and keep up on all logs.
• Participate in all scheduled meetings as directed.
• Successfully complete the training courses.

Requirements

• Willing to join a close-knit fitness team!
• High school diploma or in progress.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to multitask.
• Basic computer skills.
