Job summary

Goldfish Swim School is seeking a Front Desk and Sales Associate to be the welcoming face of our front desk. You will greet families, guide enrollment, respond to inquiries, and support sales efforts in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time, non-exempt role requires evening and weekend availability, basic computer skills, CPR/First Aid/AED certifications through Goldfish Swim School, and a friendly, detail-oriented approach to helping families feel heard and confident in enrolling.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications through Goldfish Swim School.
• Evening and weekend shifts required.
• Previous customer service or administrative experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and comfort with learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Greet every member and family at check-in to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and conduct outbound sales calls.
• Guide families through the student registration/enrollment process.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and resolve issues.
• Assist families with merchandise and vending purchases.
• Make calls to resolve open account issues with care.
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk, snack area, changing rooms, restrooms, and lobby.
• Enforce safety rules and administer first aid when necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet every member and family warmly at check-in and make them feel welcomed from the moment they walk through the door.
• Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and conduct outbound sales calls to prospective members with a positive, confident approach.
• Guide families through the student registration process using effective sales and customer service techniques.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, with a solution driven approach.
• Assist families with merchandise and vending purchases.
• Make calls to resolve open account issues with professionalism and care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front desk, snack area, changing rooms, restrooms, and lobby area.
• Enforce safety rules and administer first aid when necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

• A natural communicator who is comfortable on the phone and in person with families of all backgrounds.
• Comfortable learning new software - we’ll train you on our systems.
• Organized, dependable, and proactive about following through on tasks and commitments.
• Previous customer service or administrative experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Required to obtain CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications through Goldfish Swim School.
• Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
