Job summary

Manor Vail Lodge is seeking a Front Desk Agent or Winter Intern to welcome guests and set a welcoming tone at check-in. You will handle guest inquiries, process payments, and coordinate with housekeeping and reservations teams.

The role requires flexibility to work morning, midday, or evening shifts in a seasonal capacity for the Vail, Colorado property. Shared housing may be available, with benefits including sick leave, discounts, parking, holiday pay, and 90-day retirement matching.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Greets, registers, and checks in guests.
  • Issues room keys and assists guests with directions and an overview of the property and amenities.
  • Answers inquiries about lodge services, guest registration, and local dining and directions.
  • Inputs work orders from guests and staff through HotSOS to Housekeeping/Engineering.
  • Rings up and charges items from the lobby market.
  • Works across multiple software systems to keep the guest experience seamless.
  • Computes folios, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
  • Posts charges to guest folios (room, dry cleaning, spa).
  • Completes shift checklist as assigned.
  • Collaborates with Room Reservations and Housekeeping across lodge areas.
  • Supervisor provides training and support.

Manor Vail Lodge is one of Vail's original and iconic properties. With studio, one, two and three-bedroom condominiums plus luxury penthouses, Manor Vail Lodge is a full-service condominium property that features all the amenities of a full-service hotel, including two outdoor heated swimming pools, four hot tubs, spa, fitness center, The Fitz Bar and Ridge + River restaurant. Located steps from Vail Village, Golden Peak ski area, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, and the Ford Amphitheater, Manor Vail Lodge is the complete package for Vail lodging. Manor Vail Lodge is managed by Mountain Mastery Management Inc.

Overview:

This role welcomes guests to Manor Vail Lodge from the moment they arrive, setting the tone to make cherished memories. The position may be filled as a seasonal Front Desk Agent or a seasonal Winter Intern; the essential duties and qualifications are the same for both. Shared housing may be available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Greets, registers, and checks in guests.
  • Issues room keys and assists guests with directions and an overview of the property and amenities.
  • Answers inquiries about lodge services, guest registration, and local shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Inputs work orders from guests and staff through HotSOS to the Housekeeping and Engineering teams.
  • Rings up and charges items from the lobby market.
  • Works across multiple software systems at once to keep the guest experience seamless.
  • Computes folios, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
  • Posts charges such as room charges, dry cleaning, and spa services to guest folios.
  • Completes shift checklist as assigned.
  • Works with the Room Reservations and Housekeeping teams, partnering across all areas of the Lodge.
  • Supervisor available for training, support and guidance.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED required. One to three months of related experience or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Availability:
  • Able to work morning, midday, or evening shifts.
  • Available mid-November 2026 through mid-April 2027 with some flexibility on start/end dates
  • Able to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as training materials, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak clearly and effectively with guests and colleagues.

Math Ability:

Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, and percentage calculations, and to count back change accurately during cash transactions.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions given in written, verbal, or diagram form; and to work through everyday problems using sound judgment.

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and hotel property management software (Springer Miller System), along with the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid driver’s license helpful, though not required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
