Job Description

Front Desk Agents provide a five-star welcome and departure experience, acting as ambassadors throughout the guest’s stay. They are responsible for greeting guests warmly, providing information about the hotel and local area, and offering our upscale amenities and services. Responsibilities also include settling guest accounts, resolving issues, and handling special requests. Collaboration with departments such as Concierge, Bell-Door, and Ideal Services is essential.

The starting rate for this position is $17/hour.

Responsibilities

  1. Process guest check-ins and check-outs according to Omni’s standards.
  2. Listen empathetically to guest inquiries and respond appropriately.
  3. Set up accurate guest accounts based on preferences.
  4. Block rooms and follow specific requirements.
  5. Pre-register guests and prepare key packets.
  6. Communicate guest information to relevant departments.
  7. Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.
  8. Ensure security of guest room access with attention to detail.
  9. Execute all accounting standards for accurate settlement of folios.
  10. Maintain guest history files.
  11. Handle room changes efficiently.
  12. Document guest requests, complaints, or problems and follow up for resolution.
  13. Issue safe deposit boxes and ensure key security.
  14. Manage guest faxes and distribute reports.
  15. Resolve discrepancies with Housekeeping.
  16. Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, and promotions.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in computer systems for data entry.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong mathematical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
  • Capability to work under pressure during busy periods.
  • Previous customer service and hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • Experience in cashiering and guest relations training is a plus.
  • Fluency in a foreign language is advantageous.
