Job Requirements

If so, The Pfister is looking for a Front Desk Agent to join our team and continue its iconic legacy.

As a Front Desk Agent, you will greet guests, welcome them for future stays, and provide prompt, courteous service. Your attitude impacts guest experiences; a friendly smile is essential!

Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel has been a Milwaukee icon for nearly 130 years. We are recognized as one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, with a tradition of gracious service and style. We have maintained AAA Four Diamond status for 46 consecutive years, one of only 11 properties in North America to do so since 1976.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
  2. Check guests in and out of rooms.
  3. Use computer systems to input and retrieve guest information and requests.
  4. Assign rooms based on guest needs.
  5. Handle guest requests, questions, and complaints professionally, using tact and diplomacy.
  6. Respond to phone inquiries clearly and professionally.
  7. Maintain cash handling accuracy, including responsibility for House Bank.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel or front desk experience preferred.
  • Experience with OPERA or similar hospitality management software preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the front office.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to accurately input information using computer systems.
  • Good observational skills for emergency detection.
