Job summary

Meyer Jabara Hotels, at Reitz Union Hotel, is seeking a Front Desk Agent to deliver top-tier guest service at the front desk. You will manage reservations, check-ins/check-outs, and provide information about local attractions. Flexibility for AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.

Team members can access Earned Wage Access through ZayZoon to cash out a portion of earnings the next day. A professional demeanor and knowledge of hotel operations are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with guests and colleagues in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
• Ability to multitask, stay composed under pressure, and make sound decisions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at the front desk and provide courteous service.
• Operate the PMS reservation system to make/modify reservations and manage room inventory.
• Register guests, assign rooms, and handle special requests.
• Answer phones promptly and professionally (no more than three rings).
• Maintain front desk and back-office cleanliness and restock amenities as needed.
• Assist guests with inquiries about local attractions and hotel services.
• Ensure proper credit authorization and zero balance folio at check-in/out.
• Follow hotel policies and procedures and escalate issues to management as required.
