Excited to kickstart your hospitality career in Bar Harbor, Maine? We’re hiring a Front Desk Agent to join our welcoming team at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. This role is perfect for someone who loves engaging with guests, solving problems, and ensuring every stay is unforgettable.

The position is available as Full-Time Seasonal, giving you the flexibility to work in one of Maine’s most stunning locations during the vibrant tourist season.

As a Front Desk Agent, you’ll be the friendly face and helpful voice that guests first encounter. From checking guests in and out to answering questions, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating an exceptional guest experience. Guided by the General Manager, you’ll be a resource for local information and a point of contact for any guest needs.

You’re not just managing reservations; you’re creating memorable moments. Your attention to detail and warm demeanor will ensure that every guest feels welcome and valued.

You’ll be working your magic on a seasonal basis at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel. The schedule will vary and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The starting wage is $18.22 per hour.

Essential Duties

  • Welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanor.
  • Manage check-ins, check-outs, and room reservations.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Provide information about the hotel, local attractions, and activities.
  • Process payments accurately and maintain records.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to meet guest needs.
  • Monitor and respond to phone calls and emails.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

  • Strong customer service skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with computer systems and reservation software (training provided).
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and tasks.

Education and Experience

  • Prior experience in hospitality or customer service is a plus, but not required. We will train the right candidate.

Performance Measurement

  • 90-day performance review, guest feedback, and teamwork evaluation.
