Overview

Assist guests with arrival and departure, ensuring positive experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Greet guests warmly, listen to requests, and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions.

  2. Complete registration by inputting and retrieving information from the computer system, confirming guest details, and providing room keys and welcome materials.

  3. Verify credit cards, handle payments, and post charges accurately using the computer system.

  4. Answer phones promptly, take messages, and assist with mail and packages.

  5. Close guest accounts at checkout, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving issues as needed.

  6. Handle guest complaints professionally, researching and resolving issues effectively.

  7. Remain calm during emergencies and busy periods, using good judgment and discretion.

  8. Maintain regular attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

  2. Hotel experience is a plus.

  3. Proficient in calculator use for complex calculations.

  4. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, with patience and tact.

  5. Ability to stand and move throughout the front office area.

  6. Accurate data entry skills using computer systems.

  7. Ability to recognize emergency situations.

  8. Effective interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.

  9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.

Compensation and Benefits

Position is not tip-eligible and does not include performance bonuses. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, vision, pet insurance, disability coverage, 401(k) with matching, and employee discounts. Specific benefits vary by location and employment status.
