Job summary

Kingsbury of Tahoe is seeking a Front Desk Agent to warmly welcome guests, manage check-in/out, and provide personalized local recommendations at the Stateline resort. You will resolve guest concerns, process payments, and coordinate with housekeeping and engineering to ensure seamless stays.

The role emphasizes guest privacy, service excellence, and a proactive, upbeat approach to daily tasks in a dynamic resort environment. A strong focus on accuracy and teamwork is expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Friendly, professional, and guest-focused communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stay calm, courteous, and solution-oriented during busy situations.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills, including processing payments.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to guest service.
  • Proficiency with computers and property management systems.
  • Knowledge of front desk operations: check-in/out, reservations, guest services.

Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests and manage check-in/check-out and assigning accommodations per procedures.
  • Answer inquiries with personalized recommendations and follow up as needed.
  • Resolve guest concerns to ensure satisfaction and service recovery.
  • Perform cashiering: settle folios, process payments, post charges.
  • Handle reservations, confirmations, and modifications with care and efficiency.
  • Communicate professionally with guests by phone, email, text, and in person.
  • Uphold brand service standards and property guidelines in appearance and conduct.
  • Collaborate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to meet guest/owner needs.
  • Enter, monitor, and complete work orders and inspections in Asgard with accurate documentation.
  • Promote room upgrades and resort services with a friendly, proactive demeanor.

Job Description

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the welcoming face of our resort and a trusted resource for our guests. Every interaction is an opportunity to create a positive experience, whether you're assisting with check-ins, providing local recommendations, answering questions, or helping resolve concerns. In this role, you'll combine outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills to help make every stay memorable and exceed guest expectations.

As a Front Desk Agent, You Will:

  • Warmly greet guests, manage check-in and check-out processes, and assign accommodations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide personalized assistance by answering inquiries, offering recommendations, and following up promptly when additional information is required.
  • Take ownership of guest concerns and resolve issues professionally to ensure guest satisfaction and service recovery.
  • Perform cashiering functions, including settling folios, processing payments, and posting charges accurately.
  • Handle reservations, confirmations, and modifications with attention to detail and efficiency.
  • Communicate professionally with guests through phone, email, text, and in-person interactions.
  • Uphold service standards, property guidelines, and professional appearance standards that reflect the property's brand image.
  • Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to ensure guest and owner needs are met seamlessly.
  • Enter, assign, monitor, update, and complete work orders and inspections in Asgard, ensuring all tasks and operational activities are accurately documented, tracked, and completed.
  • Actively promote room upgrades, property amenities, and resort services while maintaining an approachable, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor in every guest interaction.

Qualifications
