Job summary

CoralTree Hospitality seeks a Front Desk Agent for Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale to deliver high-quality, personalised service to arriving and in-house guests. You will greet guests, explain hotel amenities, and handle requests following Pier Sixty-Six and Forbes standards.

Reporting to the Director of Front Office, you will help ensure a seamless guest experience, manage registrations and reservations, and uphold confidentiality and professionalism across shifts in a luxury setting.

Qualifications

  • Viable candidates have at least one year in hotel front desk or similar operations.
  • Experience with Five Star/AAA standards is preferred.
  • Experience using Windows, Office, and property management systems is desirable.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work varied shifts and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out with a warm, professional approach.
  • Provide knowledge of hotel amenities and local attractions to guests.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests with hospitality and efficiency.
  • Maintain reception handover logs and communicate feedback to the Manager on Duty.
  • Ensure guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Assist with up-selling to maximize revenue and maintain supply levels at the front desk.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly; perform other duties as assigned.

We currently have an opportunity for a well‑rounded Front Desk Agent to join our Pier Sixty‑Six Resort team!

Reporting to the Director of Front Office, the Front Desk Agent will perform all duties connected with arriving and in‑house guests and ensure that all guests receive high‑quality, personalised service in accordance with Pier Sixty‑Six standards, AAA standards, and Forbes Travel Guide Standards

Responsibilities
  • Proactively welcome, greet, and facilitate guests' check‑in processes, ensuring a warm and professional arrival experience.
  • Provide guests with comprehensive knowledge of the hotel’s amenities, services, and relevant local attractions or events.
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
  • Follow up on all arrivals by prescribed procedures, including modifications to registration cards, special requests, rate adjustments, room changes, account inquiries, and reservation inquiries.
  • Maintain and update the reception handover log and ensure all guest feedback is communicated to the Manager on Duty for appropriate action.
  • Safeguard guest privacy and security by adhering to confidentiality standards and ensuring no confidential guest information is disclosed.
  • Adhere to all established procedures and policy standards while actively encouraging up‑selling to maximise revenue.
  • Ensure all necessary supplies are available for the front desk, manage par stock, and order supplies as needed.
  • Ensure work areas are always clean and maintained.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
  • Recognising our role in the hospitality industry, we commit to providing lateral service. This may occasionally require team members to perform various related tasks as needed, all in the spirit of delivering exceptional service.
Qualifications
  • Viable candidates must have at least one year of experience in hotel room operations or similar environments.
  • Previous hospitality experience in a Five Star, AAA, Five Diamond quality organization preferred.
  • Previous experience with Windows, Office, and property management systems is highly desirable.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of property management systems required.
  • Strong business and work ethic required.
  • The ability to establish rapport quickly and positively is required.
  • Above average communication skills - both written and oral - are required.
  • Must be available to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Demonstrate ability to compute basic arithmetic.
