Job summary

Aventure Staffing is seeking a Front Desk Accounting Assistant in Sioux City, IA, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 5:00 PM. The role pays $20-$21 per hour and offers a stable, employee-focused environment.

You will support clients and CPAs with daily accounting tasks, perform high-accuracy data entry, and learn firm software to grow within the organization. A drug screen and background may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Strong, stable work history demonstrating solid job tenure
• Proficient with computers; strong Excel skills & QuickBooks experience required
• Ability to learn new software and processes quickly
• Excellent data entry skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Professional, personable, and customer-service oriented
• Self-motivated, responsible, and dependable
• Team-oriented with a servant mindset and willingness to assist others
• Eager to learn, take on new tasks, and grow within the organization

Responsibilities

• Helping clients who call or come into the office
• Assisting CPAs and Accountants with daily accounting and administrative tasks
• Performing data entry with a high degree of accuracy
• Possibly assisting with completing bank reconciliations and/or A/R and billing functions
• Answering phones and providing professional, courteous assistance as needed
• Maintaining organized electronic and paper files
• Learning and utilizing firm software and systems efficiently
• Taking on additional responsibilities as skills and experience grow
