Job summary

Planet Fitness Fort Wayne is seeking energetic Front Desk Team Members to greet members and manage service inquiries with a friendly, welcoming approach.

As a Front Desk team member, you will communicate with members, assist with tours and rate reviews, and maintain a clean, safe facility. CPR/AED training is provided, and the role may include nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Service-oriented and able to resolve member concerns.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with our members and Team Members in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Follow verbal communication, including scripts for member services such as info calls, tours, and cancellations.
• Follow written communication and rate reviews.
• Certify in CPR and AED training; perform CPR and use AED.
• Operate and demonstrate gym equipment to members.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, locker room, showers, and gym areas; follow safety guidelines.
• Comply with all safety and sanitization guidelines.
• Other duties assigned.

Essential Front Desk duties:

Communicate with our members and TMs in person, by phone, and in writing.

Follow verbal communication. This includes communication from members, TMs, and supervisors.

Follow written communication. This includes prepared scripts for multiple member services, such as info calls, tours, cancellations, and rate reviews.

Use different types of technology to service members:

Certify in both CPR and AED training.

Perform CPR and use the AED machine.

Use and understand our exercise equipment and be able to demonstrate its use to members.

Cleaning & maintaining restrooms, locker area, showers, Black Card Spa amenities, entry way, club floor, exercise equipment.

Cleaning includes, but is not limited to, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, wiping, disposing of trash, and handling chemicals.

Comply with all safety & sanitization guidelines.

Other duties assigned.

The employee must occasionally lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
