Description

Position Summary: The Personality position is primarily responsible for taking orders for food, aiding in the ordering of food, and acting as a cashier at the front counter or drive-thru window. This position also supports all activities that occur in the dining/front area of the restaurant.

Primary Responsibilities

The following duties are representative but not exhaustive:

• Greet guests and assist with their product needs at the ordering counter or drive-thru window.
• Recommend products to inform guests of promotional items, food contents, and appetizers.
• Verify customers' legal age for alcohol purchase by checking IDs.
• Perform cashier transactions, including billing, giving change, and handling register operations.
• Prepare drinks, salads, trays, etc., as ordered.
• Inform guests about service procedures, including dining room seating and directing to fountain, salad bar, or tables.
• Deliver food to guests and check for satisfaction.
• Complete drive-thru order dispatch procedures.
• Serve as host/hostess during high capacity times, manage reservations, and inform guests of wait times.
• Restock and clean front counter and drive-thru areas, maintain restroom cleanliness, dispose of trash, and perform cleaning duties.
• Answer phones professionally and respond to inquiries.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to follow instructions and solve simple problems.
• Basic arithmetic skills for handling transactions and measurements.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions, labels, and menus.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain a friendly demeanor.
• Previous experience not required.

Licenses/Certificates

May require a Food Handler’s permit, Foodservice Sanitation Certification, or other permits/licenses as per local laws.

Physical Demands

• Ability to exert force, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, lifting, and walking.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoor environment; exposure to heat, water, and cleaning chemicals.
