Job summary

voestalpine Railway Systems Nortrak LLC in Spokane Valley, Washington, is hiring a Welder to build and repair production molds and assist with mold assembly. This safety-sensitive role requires basic welding tasks, pre-shift and end-of-shift inspections, and teamwork to support the production line.

Candidates should have at least one year welding experience, and a high school diploma or GED; certification and blueprint reading skills are preferred.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Welder is responsible to build / repair and maintenance of production molds. Assisting production department in assembly of molds is frequent and assisting Maintenance department in basic welding tasks. This position is concerned a Safety Sensitive Position.

Task and Responsibilities:

• Process and organize products according to the blueprints and drawings.


• Fabricating or Repair and Maintenance.


• Assisting Line Workers or assembling Forms.


• Pre-shift and end of shift equipment inspections.


• Maintain a clean and tidy environment.


• Participation in Safety Program.


• Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and pushing, pulling, or lifting objects for the duration of your required schedule shift.


• Use hands and arms to operate tools, handle materials, and reach for the duration of your required scheduled shift.


• Regularly lift and carry 30–35 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.


• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.


• Hearing abilities necessary to perform job tasks safely and effectively.

Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies)

• High School graduate or GED preferred.


• Minimum one year of welding experience required.


• Certified welder multiple positions, blueprint reading, operation of all fabrication equipment and techniques preferred.


• Ability to read work orders and blueprints preferred.


• Must be able to work as a team member collaborating with colleagues.

Working Location:

• Spokane Valley, Washington

Salary:

• $ 24.20/hr to $27.00/hr
