Job summary

Joe’s Pizza & Pasta in Illinois is looking for a friendly Server to be the face of the restaurant and create an exceptional dining experience for every guest. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, and delivering food and drinks with accuracy and presentation.

Upselling, handling payments, and collaborating with bussers, hosts, and kitchen staff are part of daily duties. Training is provided if needed; must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Illinois.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused
• Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
• Team player with great communication skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment
• Previous serving experience preferred, but not required—we’ll train the right person
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Illinois

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests promptly and warmly, making them feel welcome
• Taking food and beverage orders accurately and entering them into the POS system
• Delivering food and drinks quickly while ensuring accuracy and presentation
• Anticipating guest needs and providing attentive, friendly service
• Upselling menu items, specials, and signature pizzas or pastas
• Handling payments and processing transactions accurately
• Working closely with bussers, hosts, and kitchen staff to keep service flowing
• Maintaining a clean, organized section and assisting with side work
