Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for easy bagging.
• Check the bottom of carts and under baby seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow correct bagging procedures for bag types and bagging hygiene.
• Scan orders and handle payment transactions per standard practice.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Maintain a neat and clean front end and work station.
• Follow procedures for cash handling, refunds, discounts, and safety protocols.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report maintenance issues.
