Memphis Goodwill Inc. is seeking a cashier to greet customers, operate the POS, and handle cash with accuracy. The role supports promotional activities and maintains a clean, organized sales floor in a friendly, safety‑mocused environment.

This position requires courteous customer service, attention to detail with cash handling, and the ability to train new cashiers as part of a cooperative team at the Memphis store. Compensation is hourly with a $12.50 starting rate in Tennessee.

Responsabilités

• Greeting customers via phone or in person in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
• Operates the POS to ensure accurate sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise.
• Ensures proper cash handling of all transactions including proper processing of coupons and discounts.
• Supports the Change Round-up program to help Memphis Goodwill mission.
• Cleans front doors, counters and glass, dusts cases, and keeps front of store neat.
• Assists with promotions, postings, and displays.
• Stocks and maintains counter, showcases and cash/wraps in a neat condition.
• Adheres to safety practices and reports hazards.
• Assists in training new cashiers.
• Cleans dressing rooms and re-hangs clothes as needed.
• Places apparel and merchandise on the sales floor and rotates stock.
• Follows Memphis Goodwill policies and theft prevention procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Team Leader Coach.
