Job summary

Memphis Goodwill Inc. is seeking a cashier to greet customers in person and by phone, providing prompt, friendly service at the register. The role requires accurate POS operation, cash handling, and awareness of promotions plus the Change Round-up program.

You will help keep the front area neat, stock and rotate merchandise, and assist in training new cashiers while following safety practices and agency policies.

Qualifications

• Cashier experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to greet customers and provide friendly service.
• Basic math and cash handling skills for register transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in person or by phone in a prompt, friendly manner.
• Operate the POS to ensure accurate pricing and information codes.
• Handle cash transactions, coupons, and discounts with accuracy.
• Promote and participate in the Change Round-up program for donations.
• Maintain cleanliness of front area, counters, and displays.
• Assist with promotions, sign displays, and stock on the sales floor.
• Ensure safe handling of movement equipment and report hazards.
• Assist in training new cashiers and rotate merchandise as needed.
