Job summary

Indiana Grocery Group is seeking a friendly cashier to operate the register, accurately ring up groceries, and accept multiple forms of payment in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. You will be the face of the store, delivering a positive checkout experience for customers.

You will greet customers, scan items, apply coupons, bag groceries, and keep the checkout area clean. Training is provided for this role with opportunities to grow within the Front End Department.

Qualifications

• A positive customer service attitude & pleasant personality, effective memory skills, good hand eye coordination, dependability, ability to follow directions & a strong willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers
• Scan grocery order
• Process coupons and collect payment
• Operate cash register and scanner
• Assist with facing candy, magazines and non-food items
• Maintaining area clean and tidy including conveyor belt
• Other duties as assigned
