Job summary

Norwalk Public Schools seeks a Freshman Coach for Girls Volleyball at Norwalk High School. You will assist with coaching student athletes in game strategies and techniques to prepare them for athletic competition.

Responsibilities include organizing team prospects, assigning positions, planning regular practices, and coordinating facilities with the head coach or athletic director. Must hold CT SDE coaching certification and be committed to student-athlete development.

Qualifications

• Must possess CT SDE coaching certification and good standing.
• Experience coaching high school or college athletes preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists with organizing team meetings and encourages participation.
• Assesses players' skills and assigns positions.
• Develops a regular practice schedule for individual and team growth.
• Schedules facilities for practices and competitions with head coach/AD.
• Instructs players on rules, equipment and techniques of the sport.
