Responsibilities

• Assist with organizing team meetings and encourage participation in the sport.
• Assist with assessment of players' skills and assigning team positions.
• Assist with developing a regular practice schedule and organizing practice time for development.
• Coaches and instructs players on rules, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
• Observes players during competition and practice and reports needs for improvement.
• Assist with determining game strategy based on the team’s capabilities.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student athlete behavior and supervision.
• Monitor the academic performance of team members to ensure eligibility and high standards.
• Follow procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
• Confer with parents/guardians regarding athletic performance.
