La Roche University is seeking an Admissions Counselor for Freshman Admissions. This role focuses on recruiting qualified applicants for undergraduate programs and guiding them through the admissions process.

The position involves travel to high schools, college fairs, and campus events, plus delivering campus tours and information sessions. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to help prospective students and families navigate Open Houses and Preview Days.

• Knowledge of admissions processes in U.S. higher education; valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for travel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with diverse audiences.
• Ability to plan and coordinate outreach programs, Open Houses, and campus visits.
• Will ingness to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Recruit qualified students for the undergraduate programs offered by the University; manage and convert individuals from applicants to enrollees.
• Manage a specific applicant pool and geographic territory; communicate with prospective students, parents, and school counselors at university/college fairs, school visits and similar venues.
• Initiate, maintain and plan appropriate, consistent contact with prospective students through telephone, text, in-person, electronic and social media communication methods.
• Interview prospective students, including parents/guardians; explain the admissions process and answer inquiries. Guide campus tours of buildings and grounds when appropriate.
• Establish positive relationships with guidance counselors, various members of the University academic community, and related constituencies to promote enrollment activities and goals.
• Develop, participate in, evaluate, and improve all admission related programs such as Open Houses and Preview Days.
• Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices pertinent to the admissions environment within higher education.
