Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Seafood Department Associate to help keep the seafood area stocked, clean, and inviting for customers. You will greet customers, offer guidance on seafood prep, and support display setup and product rotation.

You will weigh and wrap items, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain freshness and sanitation while following health and OSHA rules. Training provided, with opportunities to assist in other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• No prior experience required.
• Able to follow safety and PPE procedures.

Responsibilities

• Keep seafood area well stocked and appealing to meet customer requirements. Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions and provides information on seafood preparation.
• Sets up displays and rotates product, ensures proper pricing and signage.
• Weighs and wraps merchandise, labels price and weight, and maintains freshness logs.
• Maintains sanitation and adheres to health and OSHA requirements.
• Assists with inventory control, receiving, unloading, and store operations as needed.
