Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a seafood associate to keep the department stocked, assist customers, and ensure safe, fresh products. The role involves helping with displays, pricing, and order fulfillment while maintaining sanitation and quality standards in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Training is provided and opportunities to learn about inventory control and store operations are available. The position pays hourly and includes a benefits program with healthcare options and retirement planning.

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a high school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keeps seafood area well stocked and appealing to meet customer requirements.
• Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions and provides information on seafood preparation.
• Takes orders for future delivery and helps fill special requests.
• Sets up displays and rotates product as needed.
• Ensures that seafood is fresh, in saleable condition with proper prices and signage.
• Maintains necessary logs to track freshness and quality.
• Adheres to all food and personal safety codes when handling product or utilizing kitchen tools.
