Cosentino's Brookside Market #144 in Kansas City is seeking a friendly Produce Clerk for part-time morning shifts. You will help customers, stock fresh fruits and vegetables, and maintain quality displays to meet Cosentino's standards.

This role reports to the Produce Manager and requires a food-handling permit within 14 days, plus ongoing training. A high school diploma is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Basic math and reading skills for pricing and labels.
• Food handling permit obtained within 14 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Know and implement Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
• Prepare, package and display all produce neatly.
• Inspect freshness, damage, and dates; rotate stock accordingly.
• Operate, clean and maintain equipment safely.
• Meet productivity standards and assist with damages claims.
• Keep work area clean and safe for customers and coworkers.
• Unload shipments and stock designated areas without damage.
• Label or price merchandise and obtain price signs.
• Answer customer questions accurately and escalate when needed.
• Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
