Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Indiana is seeking a store associate to create an outstanding customer experience through friendly service and a safe, clean environment. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales goals and uphold quality standards, while embracing the Customer 1st strategy.

You will help customers, answer questions about products, stock and label merchandise, monitor temperatures and safety practices, and cooperate with team members to keep the department running

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers.
• Promote corporate brands to customers.
• Create an inviting, welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions.
• Maintain knowledge of products in the department and respond to questions.
• Prepare, label, and inventory department merchandise.
• Inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Report safety issues and maintain temperature logs.
• Support safety programs and cooperate with store management.
