Responsibilities

• Role model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate our customers.
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Assist with produce prep and display activities.
• Inform customers of produce specials.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Inspect products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers; maintain logs.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Inspect equipment and notify managers of maintenance needs.
