Job summary

Hen House is seeking an energetic Produce Clerk to keep the produce department fresh, full, and inviting, helping guests easily shop for fruits and vegetables while sharing knowledge to enhance their experience.

In this role you will stock, rotate, and display products, maintain signage and pricing, assist guests with product selection, and uphold food safety and merchandising standards as part of a collaborative team focused on guest hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Preferred: Experience in grocery, retail, food service, or produce environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Stock, rotate, and face produce to maintain freshness and presentation.
• Build and maintain attractive displays that highlight product quality and promote sales.
• Inspect produce for freshness and remove damaged items to uphold quality standards.
• Assist guests with product selection and questions about varieties, ripeness, and handling.
• Cut, prepare, and package fresh produce items following safety and merchandising standards.
• Develop knowledge of produce items, including seasonality, pricing, and location.
