Job summary

Adams Hometown Markets is seeking a Produce Clerk to maintain freshness and presentation of fruits and vegetables in the store.

You will rotate stock, assist customers, and ensure proper labeling and pricing while keeping the department clean and safe. This role requires physical stamina, teamwork, and reliable communication with peers and leadership to deliver high-quality produce all day.

Qualifications

• 0–1 years produce/grocery experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to lift up to 80–85 lbs and stand long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and display fruits and vegetables in an appealing and organized manner.
• Rotate products to ensure FIFO freshness.
• Inspect incoming shipments for quality and freshness.
• Remove damaged items and maintain quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock areas as needed.
• Assist customers in locating and selecting produce.
• Provide information on fruits and vegetables as needed.
• Ensure accurate pricing and labeling; update price tags as needed.
• Keep the produce department clean and sanitized.
• Communicate inventory and issues to management.
