Job summary

Alsum Farms in Wisconsin is hiring a Quality Inspector to ensure all products entering the facility meet high quality and safety standards. You will inspect fresh produce, document issues, and work with the Quality Supervisor to drive continuous improvement.

Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; knowledge of fresh produce and forklift certification preferred. Expect a role focused on accuracy, detail, and teamwork with start times around 5:45 a.m.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect all fresh produce arriving at the facility before it’s accepted into the warehouse.
• Document issues noticed during inspection process and discuss inspection results with the Quality Supervisor.
• Recommend adjustments and changes to increase product consistency.
• Inspect produce returned by retail customers to determine cause of credit and evaluate responsibility and how to reduce future issues.
• Comply with all aspects of the food safety programs and assist with recordkeeping requirements.
• Attend seminars and educational conferences to stay up to date on USDA standards and company quality standards.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
