Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Marlton, NJ is seeking entry-level Team Members for the Produce Department. You will perform cutting, merchandising, and customer service tasks while upholding health, safety, and quality standards.

The role supports training and may involve various shifts, with a focus on friendly, efficient service. Experience is not required; lifting up to 50 pounds and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables, following all safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Cleans department continuously and maintains sweep logs.
• Arrives to work station on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Maximizes sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
• Follows and complies, or ensures compliance, with established procedures, including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
