• Knowledge of GMPs, food safety and health and safety practices a plus.

• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and handle fresh vegetables, identifying ripening stages, sizes, and classifications.
• Grade and package produce according to customer specifications.
• Inspect produce and packaging for foreign objects, pests, or contamination.
• Carefully handle products to prevent bruising or damage.
• Follow quality, food safety and packing standards.
• Report quality concerns, product damage, or shortages to the Production Supervisor.
• Clean and sanitize food-contact surfaces and production equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Report equipment damage or mechanical issues to appropriate personnel.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, food safety procedures, health and safety requirements and company policies.
